Chinese Food Recipe: Shaomai 烧卖

燒賣 (Shaomai) ~ Chinese steamed dumpling.


In Indonesia is also known as 'Siomay'/'Shumai'.


 Ingredients:

1. 500 gr Minced meat
2. 2 cloves Garlic (minced)
3. Leek
4. Carrot
5. Starch flour
6. 1 tbsp Oyster Sauce
7. Salt
8. Pepper
9. Sugar
10. 2 tbsp Salty Soy Sauce
11. Sesame oil

Instructions:

1. Make a marinated minced meat by combining garlic, pepper, oyster sauce, sugar, salty soy sauce, sesame oil, and salt
2. Add leek (as desired) and starch flour.
3. Assemble Shaomai with dumpling skin.
4. Put some small cut of carrot at the top of Shaomai as decoration
5. Steam Shaomai for 20-25 minutes
